Submissions must feature potatoes. Recipes will be judged for best tasting in the following categories:
- Salad
- Soup
- Side/Appetizer
- Casserole
Finalists in each category will win prizes and be entered into a random drawing for the grand prize, a Wisconsin Weekend Getaway to Minocqua.

Contest Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. Mail entries to: attn: Wisconsin Trails Recipe Contest, 333 W. State St., Milwaukee, WI 53203. All entries must be received by 5 p.m. Sept. 21, 2009.
2. All recipes must be original. Absolutely no copyrighted material.
3. Recipes must be typed or clearly printed on one side of a standard letter size (8.5' x 11') paper. Each entry must be on a separate sheet of paper and include your name, address, phone number and email address in the upper right hand corner of each page.
4. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned. All entries become the property of Wisconsin Potato Growers Auxiliary and may be edited, modified, published and used without compensation.
5. You must be at least 18 years old to enter. No chefs or food professionals, and no employees or relatives of sponsors, Journal Communications, Inc. and its subsidiaries.
6. Winning contestants will be identified in the Jan/Feb 2010 issue of Wisconsin Trails. Entry constitutes permission to use the winner's name, recipe and hometown for editorial and promotional purposes by Wisconsin Trails and/or Wisconsin Potato Growers Auxiliary.
7. Wisconsin potatoes must be used and include: round red or white, new, russet, yellow flesh, fingerlings, blue and purple.
8. The judges' decisions are final and binding.
9. By entering, contestants agree to release Promoter from and indemnify Promoter for, any claim or liability arising from participation in this contest.
10. Promoter may substitute prize of comparable value or cash equivalent at its discretion.
11. No cash equivalent, transfer or substitution of prize by winner.
12. Grand prize does not include travel, taxes or gratuities.
