there is no entry fee! Limit three photos per category per entry. Entry

for complete contest details. Wisconsin Trails Photo Contest rules: 1. The contest is open to all amateur photographers. The contest
is only open to professional photographers who earn less than half of their
income taking pictures. Wisconsin Trails magazine will verify contestants’
eligibility. Submissions should be clearly marked “professional” or “amateur.” 2. Individuals affiliated with Journal Communications, including
employees, regents, trustees, interns, volunteers, fellows, research
associates, and their immediate families (children, siblings, and spouses) and
others living in their households are not eligible. 3. Each photographer may submit up to three photographs in each
category. 4. Photos may be color or black-and-white but cannot be digitally
enhanced or altered in any way. Photos may be cropped. 5. Photos must be submitted in digital format on a Mac-compatible
CD. E-mail entries will be disqualified. Each image must be high-resolution
(300 dpi or higher) and in .jpeg, .jpg or .tif format. Entries must also
include an 8 x 10 print of each image for judging purposes. Each print must be
labeled on the back with the photographer’s name, address, phone number,
e-mail, and identification of the image. 6. Mail entries to: 7. All entries must be received by 4 p.m., February 1, 2010. 8. Submission will not be returned. 9. An entrant must hold all rights to a photograph. For a photo
in which a person is recognizable, you must secure a model release from the
subject or, in the case of a minor, the subject's parent or guardian and
provide it to Wisconsin Trails upon request. 10. Photographs previously published or pending publication, or
photos that violate or infringe upon another person's copyright, are not
eligible. 11. All photos must have been taken in Wisconsin within the two
years prior to the date of the deadline, February 1, 2010. Photo contest
categories: 12. Entries will be judged by an independent panel, according to
the overall quality of the photograph, with special attention paid to
composition, exposure, focus, color, depth of field, and general interest. 13. Winning and runners-up photographs will be published, with
photo details including the photographer’s name, in the May/June 2010 issue of
Wisconsin Trails and on wisconsintrails.com. 14. Please do not contact us regarding status of your entry.
